Will a Nikon Coolpix L18 camera with a 2gb sd card hold 15 minutes worth of video?

Q. I need to record a presentation for a class and I want to use my camera to record the video, is that enough space to hold 15 minutes of footage?

A. Just call Nikon and ask them. They will know exactly how you can get 15 minutes of continuous video from your camera

800.NIKON-UX

Things other than the size of your card can influence the answer.

* how long the camera will record any one event
* the speed class of the card you are using
* ask how to disable the auto-shutoff feature your camera has for extending the battery life on your camera

I can't watch videos from my camera on the computer?
Q. I recorded a speech choir presentation on my camera and it is 792 mb. It wont play on my computer when I try viewing it. Can anyone pls.help me with this? Thanks in advance! It would really mean a lot cause Im planning to upload it on facebook or whatever site.

A. The camera that it was recorded on would have helped or even just the video format.

Try VLC player, available from www.videolan.org

its a free player and will play most video formats, where windows media player wont. The reason for the video not playing is you do not have the correct codecs installed in your computer, VLC player contains most of the commonly used ones.

You can also convert the video in VLC player to upload it to "whatever site" :)

What is the importance of recording Speaker's Notes in a PowerPoint presentation?
Q. In what ways recording Speaker Notes during a presentation would be useful in a meeting or when planning a social event?
Is this a technique you would use?

A. It depends on the subject of the meeting. If it lends to a lot of discussion and conversation, then you need the discussion recorded. Certainly if there are things that need follow up, they need recorded and also the results of the discussion recorded. Either use a recorder or a video camera depending on what you need and is easiest to use.
