Whats the best video camera for recording music covers?

Q. I want to start making covers on youtube. I don't really know a lot about video cameras. I was thinking about getting a flip HD. are they any good? I have about $200 to $300 range. Thanks in advance

A. I am not familiar with that camera, I know a lot of people use them though so I guess they are good. However, I think it's A LOT more important to have a decent microphone and music/video editing software. Most good singers on YouTube record with some sort of HD camcord, but the vocals/instrumental are recorded with a good microphone. You can get a decent microphone to start with at $100 or less, or you can spend a lot more if you'd like...but my suggestion is to invest in a good microphone that will work for your needs (not sure if you're recording voice or instruments...different microphones work for different setups/instruments) - also you should invest in software/hardware so that whatever you record will be of high quality (if you just plug a decent mic into a computer and record, it's going to sound bad...but if you record into, say, a minidisc player, the quality will be much better - though there are other things you can use besides a minidisc player). The video really should be the last thing to worry about...it's better to have high quality audio and just record yourself with a HD digital camera rather then just using a HD camcord that could have bad sound.
I hope you get what I'm saying. Try to look into other options...or at least a seperate microphone and video recorder.
Good luck.

How do i put sound into the videos i make with my kodak easyshare digital camera?
Q. Ok well i recorded a video with my Kodak Easyshare digital camera and as some of you that have these may know, when you replay the video, there is no sound and i think i read somewhere in the manual that you have to manually put the sound into the video which i think is comepletely inconvenient so i was wondering if any of you knew how to get the sound onto the video that you record with this particular camera. Thanks.

A. The quickest way to synchronize the Video from a separate audio recorder is, to do a Finger Countdown of 3 sec while symultaniously counting vocally. Do this before every shot.

Following which, you load them to a decent video editing software, where, you can then synchronize audio and video via your audible vocal countdown and visual finger countdown.

For example:
say: "three - two - one - zero"
while your fingers countdown from: 3 -2 -1 - 0

How to lessen bass when recording live concerts with a digital camera?
Q. I often record videos at concerts, using my Panasonic DMC-TZ15 digital camera, however, the sound is often harsh and full of bass from being too close. I don't want to move back, as that will diminish the visual aspect. I've heard of perhaps partially covering the microphone? Any details would be extremely helpful.

A. For good sound, you have to use good microphones.

The built in microphone is good for the mid frequencies and the bass (low freqencies) can cause square waves spoiling the sound. This will overload the electronics and reduce the clarity of other frequencies too including any vocals.

There's nothing you can do for the bass other than buying a camera with external microphone attachment or using camera for video and a different setup for recording the sound.
