What is the best action video camera that can take pictures too?

V V

I want to take good quality video of action events - mounts on cars, helmets etc. so that i can sell it to people, also i want the same camera to be able to link to an instant photo printer.

What video camera could do this? I am from South Africa and my budget is +-R10,000 or $1,200 or less. If there is nothing at this range then what is the next most inexpensive one and at how much?

One more thing, it must be able to link up to a computer and store footage/pictures directly on the computer.
Thank you for that reply Vwbe, but I have looked at Drift and Go Pro but this is not good enough quality from the videos i saw when the videos are compared and shown at the same time on YouTube when viewed on even 720HD. It is not smooth enough for my purposes, as there is still a bit of jerkiness that makes it look home "videoey".

Answer
when you travel, you want to record some video on the way?

If you want more better quality video, you can get a 1080P Car DVR, but it not easy to set on helmets:

wish that can help you.

Are cameras allowed at said concert?

Shawn

On Jan 31st I plan to go see my very first Linkin Park concert here in PA, I want to take my HD camcorder with me so I can record the whole event. I swore I saw a camera in use in their 2011 Announcement video on youtube. So, I just want to know for sure if cameras are indeed allowed at said event. Also, could I get a run down of everything that is / isn't typically permitted so I know what I can and cannot bring? Thnaks.

Answer
Usually you can have a camera but you can't use it. There will probably be an announcement before the show begins "Flash photography and video or audio recording of tonights performance is prohibited." Of course, many people ignore the warning and get away with it.
