(Sorry for the caps lock)
BASICALLY I'M TRYING TO GET MY KEYBOARD TO HOOKUP TO A CAMERA SO WHEN I RECORD A PIANO COVER THE SOUND WILL COME OUT CRISP. AS IN THE AUDIO GOES STRAIGHT TO THE CAMERA. PLZ TELL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I NEED TO BUY. THANKS!

Answer
Is this a electronic piano, or percussion (hammers strings) if its the first connect it to your computer and record it directly, you will get a better recording.

still use your camera to record you playing,. a few seconds make a sharp sound like a clap, when you put them into you editing software you will be able to match the video with your recording/

Thats the best way to do it.

if you do choose to still use your camera You don't say what it is, but you need to make a few test runs, to get the audio right, you will get all sorts of other noises on the recording as camcorder mics will pick up everything.

If your camera has a mic input then you could connect your keyboard to it, or use an external mic which will increase the quality of the recording. but again its hard to say as you do not mention the camcorder you area using.

What video camera has the best sound recording capability?

I'm looking for a video camera to record some videos of myself playing the piano. I honestly care more about sound quality than picture quality, yes, I would like to have a very good quality video, but sound is more important in this case. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer
If you can swing it, take the audio feed from microphones into your computer's hard drive and take the video feed from the camera into the computer's hard drive and record them simultaneously into an appropriate program. Most modern camcorders have CD quality sound now but you could get even better quality sound if you do it this way because it allows you to use superior microphones, external equalizers, and other sound processing gear to get your sound. This is how the professionals do it and there is a reason for that. Good luck to you!
