best video camera for recording music image

I would like to start recording music w/ a laptop (singing + guitar + occasional piano). I've always heard of the macs and how great they are for musicians....but I'd like to hear some more opinions. Would buying mics/ video camera/ etc be better and more affordable? suggestions please.

you must have a good camcorder with mic input to refrain from thees problem because it will help you to add a external mic & grab very good sound. if you can try Sony HDR-cx430v/ HDR-CX160 or you are looking more cheaper camera go to Panasonic GS25 but you can't buy brand new one because its not manufacturing any more but trust me its a good & reliable one..
