A good digital camera with good video recording?

waterr!

My camera, which is a Sony DSC-P41(4.1 meg. pixels) is getting old and worn out. But its still a good camera for me, but i feel that my camera is getting outdated. I recently came back from vacation, and i wished that i took more videos. Is there a good digital camera that can also take good videos?

(There is one really stupid, tiny reason why im trying to stay away from sony cameras, it is that their cameras use a specific memory card, and the highest memory card ive seen in a store is around 2GB, when im trying to aim for a memory card 4GB, since im planning to take alot of pictures and videos)

Answer
well sony does make some good cameras and they make memory sticks just as big as sd these days and they are getting cheaper so i would personally go with sony. sorry for breaking your rules lol

Aiptek 5100 Digital Video Camera?

just wonde

Does anybody know anything about this particular camera? Is it worth $70.00.
and, how much time does it actually record?

Answer
I own the Aiptek 5100m DV camera and i couldn't be more happy with it! It bought it for 100$ and i am suprised at the excellency of it for that low of a price. It can take 5 mega-pixel digital photos, and for video you can choose from web-standard 160X128, web-high quality 320X240, TV-standard quality at 352X288, or TV-high quality at 640X480. Depending on what resolution you choose, the amount of video you can record changes. Also, i would recommend buying a compact flash card for it because they are cheap and add a lot more recording time. For example, for 40$ i bought a 512 MB compact flash card and now i can record over 20 hours of low quality video and at least 4 hours if not more of high quality. It truly is an amazing camera and i would recommend to anybody who doesn't have the dough for a professional dv camera but still wants a high quality one. Also, did i mention that it can record audio and you can even use it to make voice recordings in mp3 format??? This is one heck of a camera!!!
