A. almost all modern SLR cameras are user friendly (just stick it on auto mode, where they become glorified point and shoot cameras).
I personally find SLRs more user friendly than point and shoots (which nowadays have tons of useless features hidden behind cryptic menus and a zillion buttons).
Look at the different models form Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, and Olympus and see which ones have video. Then decide which one is right for you.

How can i maintain my HD quality while uploading to youtube?
Q. Hello, i am using a cannon SLR camera to record HD video at 720hd. and since the files are created as .MOV i am using a converter to convert them into .AVI still mainting the 720 aspect ratio,but when i upload it to youtube, the video loses alot of quality and i do not have the HD button, does anyone know any tutorial forums/videos i can go to to figure this out?
