Digital camera that records video?

ok so my birthday is in a few days and i want a digital camera that also takes video,what is the best one for under 300$ or 250$? (preferably as cheap as possible of course)

For under $250 there are quite a few to choose from.

The best cost effective choice I suggest is the Nikon Coolpix L20. It retails between $100-$175 depending on if you buy it online or in store.

It's 10 megapixels which leads to great print quality from still images and has many easy to learn features, including a video mode.

Nikon is a solid brand you can trust. If you're not interested in that one you can cruise through nikonusa.com and see others. If you decide on another brand I would heavily suggest Canon. Nikon and Canon are the greatest camera manufacturers out there.

I need to buy a digital camera which can do nice video shooting too . Can you suggest some latest models ! It should be in the price range $200 to $300 .
