Can I record video from my tv?

Kris

So heres the deal, I have a sony full hd1080 Exmor hd video camera recorder, is there a way with some certain cords to be able to record televison or movies watched on my tv? what im asking is can i record with this other than by just pointing it at my televison?

Answer
Maybe but doubtful.

You can ONLY if your camcorder/video camera has an external video input for recording.
You would need base band video and audio inputs. Run the cord from the source you want to record, like a cable box, DVD player etc, into the audio/video input of the camera.

If the camera does not have video audio inputs then NO you cannot except by recoding a TV screen.
