What Canon is comparable to the EOS 500d t1i Rebel?

Q. I really like that camera but i really expensive!! I can't spend $900 right now on a camera.

I'm taking photography/videography classes in college, and i like that the 500d had HD video recording, but like i said, money is a little tight.

What other Canon EOS DSLR/SLR camera would be really comparable to it? The main things i'm looking for in a camera are:

Video Quality/Length
Live view
ISO
Shutter Speed
Aperture

A. The only other Canon camera that has video is a the 5D MKII which costs about 3x as much.

All the other new Canon Rebels have everything but video. The older Rebel XT and XTi don't have live view.

The same is true with Nikon and Pentax. The Nikon D5000 costs the same as the Rebel T1i and the Pentax K7 costs about $1,400.

Here are all the DSLR's that shoot video

Canon Rebel T1i $850
Nikon D5000 $850
Canon 5D MKII $2,700 body only
Nikon D90 $900 body only
Nikon D300s $1,800 body only (available shortly)
Pentax K7 $1,400

What is the best SLR camera that has HD video recording as well for a beginner on a high school budget?
Q. I'm interested in both photography and videography. Since it's too expensive to buy an SLR AND an HD videocam, I thought buying two in one would be best. :) I only have point-and-shoot cameras and videocams (that aren't HD). I'm taking up photography and videography sometime soon.

A. Your best bet would be between the Canon Rebel T2i/550d or the Nikon D5000. The Rebel puts out 1080p, while the Nikon only 720p. If you can afford the Rebel take it, it has some of the best quality for photography as well as video recording, but the D5000 isn't that far behind plus its a lot cheaper than the Rebel.

What Nikon digital SLR camera should I get?
Q. I am really into photography and videography, so I want a camera that shoots great pictures and HD video. What would be the camera for me, that doesn't break the bank?

A. Actually you wont find video quality so good with nikon DSLR cameras. you can have a look at Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Digital SLR Camera
