When i play the videos i recorded with my camera i cant hear the sound! WHY?

CUTEONE=)=

I'm posting some videos on you tube so when i upload them to my computer it won't let me hear the sound. .

Answer
1. If you cannot hear the sound when bringing the video from your camera to your computer, it is most likely because the camera supports Dolby sound and your video software does NOT. So you will need to convert the video to non-dolby sound output (from experience.)

2. If the video is fine on your computer and the sound only goes missing on YouTube, it's is **most likely** because you are dubbing it with COPYRIGHTED music (i.e., your favorite song as a background) and this is illegal. YouTube, to prevent being sued by copyright holders, has software in place that allows you to upload your video but kills the sound track.

3. IF #2 is not the case, you may have problems with your sound/Flash plugin software, too hard to debug in a one-off answer.

Hey guys I'm a singer and want to record my performances what camera has really high quality audio and picture not super expensive would be great thank you :)

Answer
HD camcorders interpolate the video, which means of every 25 frames of video, 4 or 5 frames are taken by the lens assembly; the other frames in between these are filled in by the camcorder inner circuitry, thus giving you not true video. It looks like this -one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, from front to back of the video. Near impossible to edit, even when you have the Multi port processor computer with the big 1GB Graphics card and a Sound card that is required to edit, view, watch and work with the files these camcorders produce.

Consumer level HD camcorders have 4 problems. 1) Blurry, fuzzy, out of focus areas closely around people in videos taken by consumer level HD camcorders. 2) Any movement, even a wave or lifting an arm, while in front of a recording consumer level HD camcorder, results in screen ghosts and artifacts being left on the video track, following the movement. Makes for bad video, sports videos are unwatchable. 3) These Consumer level HD camcorders all have a habit of the transferred to computer files are something you need to convert, thus losing your HD quality, to work with your editing software. 4) Mandatory maximum record times - 1 hour, 30 minutes, 8 minutes, 3 minutes â four different times advertised as maximum record time for some consumer level HD camcorders. No event I have ever been to is that short. Either take multiple camcorders or pack up with out getting the end of the event on video.

MiniDV is currently the most popular format for consumer digital camcorders. MiniDV camcorders are typically more affordable than their HDD and DVD counterparts. Each MiniDV tape will typically hold an hour of footage at normal recording speed and quality. MiniDV tapes are available for purchase at not only electronic and camera stores, but also at drugs stores and grocery stores, making them easy to find while your on vacation. There are literally hundreds of MiniDV camcorders available; both in standard and high-definition. And add the fact that to get a HD camcorder that could produce better video quality footage, one would have to spend in excess of $3500 for that camcorder that could produce higher quality video.

What is a good camera that can also record videos w/ sound?

me,myself,

I'm looking for my first camera. Just something that can take casual pictures and record videos w/ sound. Any suggestion on what models should I consider?

Answer
Hi,
I would get one with 3x optical zoom, because digital zoom just makes it blurry, the more you zoom. I would consider a Kodak, Sony, Canon, Olympus or HP. If you are going to buy them on eBay, stick to brand names you have heard of. Well, you can get good cameras on eBay that are unheard of, as long as they have good specifications.
I know someone who just got one, in store with a warranty, it's a Kodak 8.2 MP. It definitely works better than mine, because I only have digital zoom, and mine is 5 MP, it takes good pictures, if you're up close. The higher the optical zoom, the more you can zoom in further, with out it getting distorted. And the more MP, the more you can blow up your pictures on your computer, with out it getting distorted, and the more you can zoom into your pictures later, after it is on your computer. The Kodak 8.2 MP camera also has sound, with videos. It also has a function, where you can set it to fireworks, sunset, or text, if you are taking a picture with text in it. Also, it has digital image stabilization, if you tend to shake the camera a lot. I would recommend it. But there are so many models, and brands, that pretty much most of them are the same. Just as long as they have good specifications. Digital cameras have been coming down greatly in price the past few years.
So since this is your first camera, I would get an 8 mega pixel, because you don't want to keep buying another camera, year after year, when they keep improving.
If you go to an electronics store, they will help you find one that will fit your needs. Hope that helps. Josh

Answer
Get Wondershare DemoCreator, Democreator create software tutorial and presentation by recording screen, but more than a screen recorder, you can record all the actions taking on the application and then add some tips or instructions to it, even more, you can easily add the narration from microphone or import audio file directly. At last, you can publish it to Flash, auto-run CD, EXE, e-mail, ftp, LMS. As you know, flash file has smaller size and is safer for transmission, i think it will useful for you!
Good luck!

How do I find a video camera that can record live music?

Cliff

Most video cameras - the sound will be horrible, because the mic is peaking out. Control for microphone sensitivity is not available, so the sound overdrives the audio. It will sound distorted. So - what can I look for in a digital video camera that I can control the sensitivity, by viewing a monitor level indicator, OR it has a automatic adjuster for loud sound ?

Answer
"Audio control"... or specifically, Manual audio control.

There are four ways.

1) Some (not all) low-end Sony camcorders have a "MicRefLevel" control. This is an option selected in the menu. "Normal" or "Low" for low mic gain for loud audio environments. Not very granular, does not work very well, but does provide some protection form audio clipping and the muddy audio caused by way-loud sound.

2) Some low-end Canon camcorders (ZR900, ZR930, FS10, FS11, FS100, HF10, HF11, HF100) have a mic jack - but no built-in manual audio control. There are external XLR adapters from BeachTek and juicedLink that have audio gain knobs. Plug the XLR mic into the XLR adapter; plug the XLR adapter into the 1/8" (3.5mm) mic jack on the camcorder. In the camcorder menu, you can select a "mic level" that will show the audio going into the camera - When you plugged the XLR adapter into the camcorder's mic jack, you are bypassing the auto mic gain. Use the knobs on the XLR adapter to control the audio levels going in.

3) Use a camcorder with manual audio control. The least expensive camcorder - of which I am aware - with manual audio control are the Canon HV20/HV30/HV30 and the Sony HDR-HC9. They also have a 1/8" mic jack if you want to use an external mic. When you drop into manual audio, a couple of meters pop on the screen. The audio level is not convenient to adjust.

4) Use an audio Field Recorder like those from Zoom, Edirol, Tascam, M-Audio, Sony, Marantz, Fostex... among others... When you edit the video just mute the audio captured with the video and add the audio captured by the Field Recorder.

Prosumer or pro camcorders like the Canon GL2, XL, XH, XLH series, Sony DCR-VX2100, HDR-FX1000, HVR- Z1, Z5, Z7, Panasonic DVX100, HVX200, etc, all have manual audio controls on the OUTSIDE of the camcorder.

In the cases of 2, 3 and 4, the meters should be around 3/4. Adjust the audio gain if it is higher or lower than this.

Please not that I listed ONLY miniDV tape and flash memory consumer camcorders. This is because consumer hard drive based camcorders have KNOWN issues with vibration. Loud audio environments as you have specified can cause enough vibration to have the camcorder sensors park the hard drive heads and not record video. This is to prevent the hard drive heads from scruffing the hard drive and crashing the camera. HDD camcorders are NOT recommended for high vibration environments - says so in their manuals. (They will also park their heads in low air pressure environments - so high altitude, anything over about 9,800 feet - will also cause the heads to park and no video will be recorded. MiniDV tape and flash memory do not have this problem, either.)

The video camera that I own is a Panasonic GS59 and it doesn't have a mic-in jack installed in it. I plan on going to school for cinematography and was wondering if there was a way to record sound (say, with a shotgun mic) if you have the type of camera that I have.

Thanks for all your help!!!

Answer
Well, assuming you are not going to be satisfied with the on-board mic, there is no easy way to connect a microphone. I wouldn't put it past a real tinkerer to be able to wire something in, but even then, quality would still be an issue.
So if you want decent audio, you will need an external recording device. You can spend a little, or you can spend a whole lot. The good news is that you can attach whatever kind of mic you want to a device like this.
Here's something decent, for not much money. It requires an ipod, but it looks pretty cool:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/579664-REG/Alesis_PROTRACK_ProTrack_Handheld_Stereo_Audio.html
You can even plug XLR's into that sucker! You could connect a shotgon mic to that, even put it on a boom, if you like. Just make sure to use some kind of synchronizing sound (clap board, hand clap, etc...) to give yourself a synch point.

What video camera has the best sound recording capability?

I'm looking for a video camera to record some videos of myself playing the piano. I honestly care more about sound quality than picture quality, yes, I would like to have a very good quality video, but sound is more important in this case. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer
If you can swing it, take the audio feed from microphones into your computer's hard drive and take the video feed from the camera into the computer's hard drive and record them simultaneously into an appropriate program. Most modern camcorders have CD quality sound now but you could get even better quality sound if you do it this way because it allows you to use superior microphones, external equalizers, and other sound processing gear to get your sound. This is how the professionals do it and there is a reason for that. Good luck to you!

I need to record sound separately for a video, because the video camera that I have doesn't have an external mic support, and my voice recorder records at 32kbps WMA. I need something of a higher quality, but would prefer not to carry around a laptop. I have an external boom mic, and just need a means to record it. Are there any cheap CD players that can record directly onto a CD or other devices that can record high-quality sound?

I wouldn't pick any, since all of them have a pretty bad track record. Save your pennies and wait for a worthwhile camera

best video camera for recording sound image

Ross

How do I stop my digital camera recording the zoom sound when recording video?

Jason

How do I stop my digital camera recording the zoom sound when recording video?

I have a Canon SX260

While zooming my camera during a video recording, the camera records the "zooming" sound. How do I stop this? Is it normal?

THanks

Answer
1 Use an external mike
2 zoom manually (can you on that camera?)
3 zoom with your legs

Can a employer install video cameras with microphones?

Q. In the kitchen where i work there is already one video camera in the main kitchen that videos the majority of the kitchen and the exit door for security.

this camera is due to be replaced and also another camera added to film another part of the kitchen where there is no security risk and the only reason i can see for it is to check if people are working!

Also both new cameras will be equipped to record sound?

Is it legal to record video and sound in the workplace?

What are the rules or restrictions?

Is there any goverment guidelines?

By the way this is for the U.K!

A. That is totally strange as why would they want volumes also and another camera if they have one already. Is the owner and bosses all paranoid or having some issues to do all this as it's like spying to me.I don't know the legal aspects of it but surely look this crap up and good luck with this company...

What is a good video/digital camera to record sound?
Q. I need a good camera because i like going to concerts and filming the bands and i like making drum covers for youtube, but i need a good camera that can record sound clearly without the sound being nothing but static... and it needs to be able to plug into a computer.

A. Camcorder mics are not that good, as they are unidirectional pick up audio from everywhere. If you can you need a directional mic picks up there you point it. the better the quality the more expensive they are.

legal bit concerts and the music played at them is copyrighted you may get into trouble doing this, unless you get permission fom the copyright holder

it depends on how much you are willing to spend on a camera and mic. they can cost as much or more than a camera.

a little more information on budget and maybe the type of camera you are looking at.

Good luck

RR

Why does camera record video with no sound?
Q. My daughters Kodak easyshare c813 camera records video but it won't record sound. Is there a setting I need to tweak in order to get sound in my videos?

A. It does record audio it just does not have a built in speaker. If you want to hear the audio you will have to download the files to your computer.
